Astros Win In Extra Innings – World Series Tied 1-1

Baseball is a crazy game. It’s been around so long, and there are so many games every year, that you just don’t see anything new. Has a player ever hit multiple Home Runs in his Major League debut? Yes. Has a player ever hit for the cycle 3 times in his career? Yes. Has there ever been 5 Home Runs in extra innings of the same game? Not until tonight.

That’s right, in the entire history of big league baseball, which is hundreds of thousands of games, there has never been five Home Runs in extra innings. But that just happened IN THE WORLD SERIES.

I know we were all spoiled last year with the Cubs-Indians back and forth. An incredible Game 7. Breaking the curse. It was the greatest World Series I’ve ever seen. But let’s not take for granted the unbelievable Series we have right in front of us.

In Game 1 Clayton Kershaw, one of the best pitchers of his generation, got his first World Series win. Then in Game 2 Justin Verlander, the other greatest pitcher of this generation, helped the Astros get their first World Series win in franchise history. The Astros bats may have finally woken up, but they’ll be put to the test in Game 3 against Yu Darvish – who has been unhittable lately.

Whatever happens, these are two fun teams to watch.

HOW WE FEELIN’, KATE?!
